JOB SUMMARY
MTG specializes in the design, installation, and service of commercial property technologies locally and nationally.
The Service Project Manager – Fire/Security will be responsible for estimating, proposing, and coordinating the execution of projects for our local and national clients. The product focus will be fire alarm, access control, video surveillance, and intrusion solutions, but knowledge of other low-voltage disciplines is helpful.
An MTG Service Project Manager must provide excellent customer service and maintain strong professional relationships with our team members, coordination teams, clients, vendors, and partners.
The position demands strong communication skills, organization, and multi-tasking capabilities to manage and process a high volume of project activity daily.
The Service Project Manager—Fire/Security reports to the Manager of Local Service.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work closely with the Business Development team, clients, and prospects to assess and qualify opportunities and solutions
- Work directly with clients, prospects, trade partners, Local Service Providers (LSPs) and MTG Design team members to design solutions and build project scopes
- Determine necessary materials, labor, equipment, and other costs to create accurate project estimates
- Utilize MTG-created templates to create comprehensive proposals, SOWs, warranty statements, and other project-related documents
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain strong professional relationships with our clients, vendors, partners, and fellow team members
- Coordinate service requests with client and scheduler based upon availability of the job site and field personnel
- Understand and effectively communicate project details to vendors, LSPs, and internal resources
- Coordinate site access, materials, tools, and other resources to ensure preparedness for service calls when necessary
- Provide timely and accurate communications to clients, partners, LSP’s and MTG management
- Enter detailed costs and markup into the ERP system to ensure profitable service billing
- Oversee and direct execution of low voltage/technology work both on a local and national level
- Direct workforce, whether MTG field staff and/or subcontractors, to ensure adherence to plans, schedules, contract specifications, applicable codes, safety programs, and best trade practices both on a local and national level
- Solicit competitive material pricing and manage timely material delivery, return, and credit
- Solicit any equipment rental pricing and manage timely delivery and return
- Solicit labor bids and select and manage LSPs
- Conduct project kick-off and status meetings to ensure alignment with the overall project
- Timely entering of opportunities to help with revenue and workforce planning
- Maintain knowledge of industry technology/products, standards, requirements, and processes
- Other related and organizational duties as required or assigned
- Work closely with the Finance department to meet project AR and AP responsibilities
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of low-voltage industry experience required
- 1-3 years proven experience estimating and project managing fire alarm, access control, video surveillance, and intrusion solution installations
- Strong understanding of low-voltage systems and practical field experience
- High school graduate or equivalent (minimum)
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Computer proficiency in a Windows environment using MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
- Willing and able to multi-task in a fast-paced, multi-project-based environment

Base Salary $80,000 - $90,000+ DOQ
