The MTG Client Engagement Manager responsibilities include prospecting for new business, identification and qualification of new opportunities, needs analysis and working with MTG technical resources to help define and recommend solutions for those clients.  The Client Engagement Manager will deliver MTG documents to the customer, when requested, negotiate and close business and provide superior customer service.
In addition, this position will assist Project Services and Project Management to meet company process, performance and communication expectations; continually striving to improve the effectiveness and success of the company.  The primary job focus is helping to grow our Voice/Data integration business and find end users and partners who will benefit from MTG solutions and services.  The secondary job focus is finding, growing and closing other identified opportunities in Audio/Visual, Fire/Security and Multi-Channel services and cross selling into the existing account base. 
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within MTG’s core capabilities
  • Grow and develop our Voice/Data business, meeting or exceeding established growth projections
  • Initiate and maintain strong strategic relationships with our prospects, clients, partners and vendors
  • Prospect identification and qualification of leads provided by previous contacts and personal book of business, industry publications and lists, referrals and from the business development team
  • Prospect for new business opportunities through cold calling efforts, networking events and personal research
  • Conduct meetings with prospects to learn more about their business, business needs, business pain and share how MTG can provide value and solutions
  • Work closely with prospects, clients, partners and MTG management to project, forecast and prepare for forthcoming opportunities and projects  
  • Gain a thorough understanding of the business objectives and expectations of all prospects, clients and partners
  • Provide detailed information (drawings, descriptions and design criteria) to the team to be used to create accurate designs, CAD drawings, bid sets, RFP’s, estimates, SOW’s etc.
  • Manage existing account relationships and provide a high level of customer service/support
  • Proactively look for ways to cross sell other MTG value into the account/relationship
  • Be visionary on industry trends, and assist in crafting a path for our company to pursue
  • Work closely with project teams and Finance team members to ensure all necessary communications and work-flow processes are adhered to
  • Provide timely and accurate communications to clients, Project Managers, Finance and MTG management
  • Manage sales, entertainment, and travel costs to stay within established budgets
  • Additional related tasks as required
  • Travel expectations = approximately 25 - 30%
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of industry experience
  • 3-5 years of Sales experience, preferably within the construction industry
  • Strong understanding of low voltage and/or IP technology systems and practical industry experience
  • Professional communications skills (oral and written)
  • Proven sales, customer service, opportunity identification and closing skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Well organized, accurate and strong attention to detail
  • Strong time management, problem solving and decision-making abilities
  • Computer proficiency in a Windows environment using MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and internal CRM and accounting software applications
  • Strong proficiency in sales pipeline and activity tracking software is a must
  • Ability to travel on a semi-regular basis and manage workload while out of the office
  • Ability to control and manage sales and travel costs
  • Ability to present project information to groups of internal stakeholders and/or participate in project meetings
